What is Leantime?
Leantime connects project rationale with execution: goals and planning canvases sit alongside milestones, tasks, documents, and timesheets. Teams can move between board, list, table, calendar, and Gantt views while retaining shared project context, rather than rebuilding plans in separate tools.
Leantime is an open-source project-management system that brings strategy, planning, and execution together. It offers Kanban, Gantt, table, list, and calendar task views, and is designed with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism in mind.
Core capabilities
- Connect goals and planning canvases with project delivery
- Organize tasks, subtasks, dependencies, milestones, and sprints
- Keep documents, ideas, discussions, and timesheets beside project work
Strategy connected to delivery
Goals, metrics, business-model and lean canvases, SWOT analysis, and risk analysis support the planning side of a project. Milestones, dependencies, and status reporting connect that planning to execution; retrospectives provide a place to review what the team learned.

Several views of the same work
Kanban, Gantt, table, list, and calendar views organize tasks without requiring separate copies of the plan. Wikis, ideas, files, comments, and timesheets keep supporting context nearby. The current README lists these core features as included in the open-source version and documents server and Docker deployment paths.

Where it fits
Use cases
- 01
Turn strategy into an execution plan
Use goals, metrics, and planning canvases to explain why a project exists, then organize the required work into milestones and tasks.
- 02
Coordinate a cross-functional project
Manage tasks, subtasks, dependencies, boards, list and table views, documents, ideas, time entries, and status reporting in the same project space.
- 03
Keep project knowledge close to work
Maintain wiki pages, ideas, retrospectives, files, and discussions in the project so decisions and supporting material are available alongside delivery tasks.
